Starbucks on Wednesday debuted a beta app in OpenAI's popular chatbot that helps customers discover new drink options — a nod to the fact that "customers aren't always starting with a menu, they're starting with a feeling," according to Paul Riedel, SVP of Digital and Loyalty. Unique or unusual drinks like the off-menu Cake Batter Frappuccino are now surfaced when users describe a mood or occasion in natural language.
